Welcome to Altiora (“Altiora,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing our website, applying for membership, or participating in any Altiora activities, you (“you,” “member,” or “participant”) agree to the following Terms of Service (“Terms”).
These Terms establish Altiora as an independent, private community. We are not affiliated with any university, government agency, financial institution, or third-party organization. Membership is by invitation or application only and may be revoked at any time.
1. Independence and Non-Affiliation
Altiora is an independent, privately organized community.
Altiora is not affiliated with:
The University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) or any educational institution.
Any financial, legal, governmental, or corporate entity.
Any religious, political, or external organization.
Use of the name “Santa Cruz” or any geographic reference is descriptive only and does not imply institutional affiliation.
2. Membership and Eligibility
Membership is by invitation or approved application only. Altiora reserves the right to deny or revoke membership at its sole discretion.
Members must be at least 18 years of age. Applicants under 18 must provide verified parental/guardian consent where legally permitted.
Membership does not confer any ownership, employment, or agency rights in Altiora.
3. Nature of the Community
Altiora is a private peer community designed to encourage personal growth, entrepreneurship, and intellectual collaboration.
Altiora is not a business, financial advisor, broker, or academic institution.
All programs (Collective, Venture, Improvement, Trading) are educational and community-based. They are not professional services.
4. Privacy and Confidentiality
All discussions, materials, and activities within Altiora are considered private and confidential.
Members may not share internal conversations, projects, or member information without explicit permission.
Altiora collects minimal personal data (e.g., name, email, application details) solely for membership purposes.
Data will not be sold or disclosed except as required by law.
5. Financial and Trading Disclaimer
Altiora does not provide financial, investment, or legal advice.
Trading discussions within Altiora are strictly hypothetical and educational.
Altiora does not act as a broker, financial advisor, money manager, or investment vehicle.
Members are solely responsible for their own financial and personal decisions.
6. No Guarantees of Outcomes
Altiora does not guarantee personal, financial, or professional success.

All activities are undertaken at the member’s own risk.
7. Member Conduct
Members must conduct themselves with respect, integrity, and accountability.
Harassment, discrimination, exploitation, or misconduct will result in immediate removal.
Members must contribute meaningfully (“proof of work” principle). Non-contributing members may be removed without notice.
8. Intellectual Property
The Altiora name, logo, website, and program materials are the exclusive property of Altiora.
Members may not use the Altiora brand for external projects, promotions, or events without prior written consent.
Members retain ownership of their own independent work but grant Altiora permission to reference publicly shared contributions.
9. Liability and Assumption of Risk
By participating, you acknowledge that:
Altiora is an independent community.
Participation is voluntary and at your own risk.
Altiora and its organizers are not liable for financial losses, injuries, damages, or consequences of your participation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Altiora, its founders, and members from any liability.
10. Independence Clause
Altiora is a private association.
No statements, projects, or member actions may be interpreted as representing UCSC, any institution, or any external organization.
Any resemblance to other organizations, past or present, is purely coincidental.
11. Amendments
Altiora may update these Terms at any time.
Continued participation constitutes acceptance of the most recent Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
